Bekir Gavrankapetanović is a senior partner and founder of the GK Joint Legal Practice and constitutes the second generation of one of the oldest law offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is practicing law for 49 years and temporarily he is the President of the Bar association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and former President of the Regional Bar association Sarajevo.

In his long carrier he has been in the board of directors of the Regional Bar association Sarajevo from 2006 to 2010, and then he has been elected President in 2010. From 2011 to 2019 he was a member of the Board of directors in the Bar association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which followed his election as the President of the Federal Bar association.

From 2008 till 2012, he was a member of the bar exam committee on the subject commercial law, switching his subject on the bar exam from commercial law to civil law, on which subject he is an examiner to this day, shaping future generations of lawyers, judges and prosecutors. He is a standing member of the lawyer’s exam committee from 2011.

Bekir’s specialization include obligation law, property and real estate law, commercial law, commercial arbitration, inheritance law and administrative law . In his career he mostly represented big local and international companies in very complex and complicated court proceedings in front of all levels of courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as private citizens in all kinds of court proceedings. He also represented large companies and individuals in criminal cases which are considered economic crimes(commercial crimes)
